SUPERIOR CONTROL
The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander really shines when it's put through its paces. Equipped with Mitsubishi Motors' revolutionary electronically controlled All-Wheel Control (AWC) system, front and rear torque distribution is managed via an electronically controlled coupling that distributes torque between the front and rear wheels appropriately at all times, based on vehicle driving conditions and driver input. Moving up to the S-AWC system used in the Outlander GT adds Active Front Differential (AFD) and Active Yaw Control (AYC), which control the brakes and power steering to regulate torque split between the left and right wheels. This results in further enhancement in the vehicle's ability to accurately maintain the chosen line through corners, straight-line driving, lane-changing manoeuvres, and maintaining traction and control on slippery surfaces. With a choice of two technologically advanced engines, driving the Outlander takes on an added dimension. Both the 166HP 2.4L 4 cylinder and the 224HP 3.0L 6 cylinder MIVEC engines are efficient and powerful. The available 6 cylinder MIVEC engine provides a robust 3,500 lb. towing capacity, providing effective towing for small watercraft and trailers. No matter how you drive your Mitsubishi Outlander, the result will always be a smart choice.
MULTI VIEW CAMERA SYSTEM (MVCS)
The available Multi View Camera System (MVCS) with a virtual 360° bird's-eye view provides a panoramic view of the area surrounding the vehicle. You can now master tight driveways, reveal blind spots, and park with confidence and safety. | ![]() |
ADVANCED SAFETY

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)¶ uses radar technology to judge and maintain distances between you and the vehicle ahead; Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Lane Change Assist (LCA)¶ will alert you when a vehicle is in or approaching your blind spot. Other active safety systems include Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)¶ that detects a vehicle or person approaching from the side while you're backing up, and Lane Departure Warning (LDW)¶ that uses an on-board camera to monitor lane position and alert the driver if the vehicle drifts outside the lane. With so much advanced safety on board, the Mitsubishi Outlander is constantly monitoring your well-being. |
